Hot Hot Hot!
How was your weekend everyone? I hope it was a goodun!
The sun was most definitely shining and what a difference it made! We made the most of it and got out into the country and drove down to Rye.. a super cute picturesque town close to the sea with plenty of small independent boutiques and cafes and restaurants.. and of course fish and chip shops!
We actually did a shoot in the nearby Camber Sands beach last year.. just a couple of miles from Rye.. huge wide open sands with iconic grassy sand dunes you could easily mistake this location for somewhere far more exotic on a hot sunny day!
One of my absolute fave shops here is the lifestyle boutique Lola & Sidney which sells everything from giant coloured rabbits for your garden to bunting to candlesticks to vintage babycham glasses.. a treasure trove where I always find something I simply MUST have!
There's also an amazing new coffee shop called Rae which just has the most calming and beachy vibe.. they make the best coffee and have super delicious pastries too! Also a gorgeous shop selling beautifully sourced homewares, skin care, swimwear and books. Theres also a great little edit of accessories including cashmere beanies and tote bags.. Love!
Marinos is the best for fish and chips.. obligatory by the sea! and if you fancy something a little more.. well.. fancy then there's the newly refurbished The George which has an amazing restaurant and bar and is right in the middle of it all!
And if you love it all so much that you want to stay then check out The Gallivant.. divine rooms with the most laid back beachy decor.. with wine servings daily!
There's really so much to explore in this little seaside town that you can easily spend a day and night here.. and if you decide to go then don't forget to wear your fave Amy Lynn pieces and tag us in your pics!
