Summer in the City!

Summer in the City!

Phewee how lush is this hot weather???!!!

It's got us thinking of those hot balearic beachy vibes BUT.. also how to make the most of it this weekend in the city ( unless of course you find yourself actually IN the Balearics this weekend in which case please please PLEASE don't forget to pack your fave Amy Lynn pieces and take some gorgeous pics!).

Or maybe you're lucky enough to have made it to Glasto.. in which case I hope you're rocking the Lupe trousers and the Dido Top!!!

Summer in the City.. personally it's one of my fave times of year in the smoke!

Everyone's smiling and the colours are popping all over the place!

This weekend I'll be heading down to Kings Cross first thing to sit beside the water and enjoy the sunshine with a coffee from one of the many artisan coffee shops.. Redemption Roasters are my current fave! Lunch is easy.. there's so many great little food stands and lots of cafes and restaurants! When it's hot I prefer to sit outside and so Plaza Pastor is where I'll be heading for some amazing Mexican food.. tacos are literally the best ever with a huge variety of fillings and of course all washed down with an obligatory margarita!

But if Mexican isn't your thing don't despair! There are so many places to choose from not forgetting Kerb.. the most amazing food market with so many food stands there really is something for everyone. And when it's such beautiful weather it's easy to take your food and sit by the fountains or by the canal.. bliss!

The other reason I love this part of the city on a hot sunny day is the walk all along the Regents canal to Camden. It's the perfect thing to do on a weekend and great for some people watching! Once you climb the steps into Camden you can have a walk around the Stables market full of interesting stalls and again.. lots of food and drink! Camden along with Portobello were the first clothing markets in London and where so many well known brands started back in the 1990s. There's still a lot of clothing but it's shifted from directional fashion to more of a younger casual scene. Still fun to visit though!

For sundowners it's got to be Primrose Hill.. with the best views over London this is the best place to plot up on a blanket and relax with some nibbles from Melrose & Morgan.. along with some bubbles of course! Nothing quite like a sunset picnic.

So whilst we cannot WAIT to get to the beaches.. here at Amy Lynn it's safe to say we're fans of summer in the city too!

Have a great weekend Amy Lynn girls.. and don't forget to tag us in your pics!
