Weekend getaway!

It's the perfect time to throw some essentials into an overnight bag and steal away for a couple of nights.. yes mini breaks are back on the menu and I'm a complete believer in them!

Hotel living.. if only for a night.. is just the perfect pick me up. There's nothing I love more than a luxurious staycation and luxe casual wear is essential! The Bonny knit and Bella trousers are so cosy they're my go to set for hotel room living!

The mini break packing doesn't need to be over complicated.. consider the climate.. in my case Edinburgh.. and think capsule wardrobe!

For my trip this weekend the new lines at Amy Lynn are just the right mix of smart casual and transitional.

First up I couldn't imagine leaving without the new Orne sweatshirt dress. Just so easy to wear I'm loving this for exploring the city during the day with trainers and a cross body bag.. the perfect casual look and SO comfortable. Ticking all the boxes this even looks great layered with a pair of jeans or a midi skirt if there's a chill in the air.

Another piece that's perfect for a weekend break is the Bae knitted jumpsuit. I'm totally wearing mine for dinner this evening.. just the right amount of smart casual I'm wearing mine with boots but if the occasion demands it looks so good with heels! Also equally wearable during the day this versatile piece is a mini break essential!

Tomorrow morning its breakfast in the hotel before another day of exploring.. I've got some boutiques to check out in this amazing city and I'm going to wear the Suzi knit with my trusty Amy Lynn vegan leather trousers for the ultimate city look. I love this knit.. it looks stunning and is so easy to wear under a jacket to take you right through to evening.
